MY VISION FOR
OUR BRONX
Because Positive Change Happens
When We Organize and Fight Back
-
Everyone deserves a stable home—and a real path to ownership. I’ll combat rent gouging, defend tenants, and expand community ownership so Bronx families can stay and build wealth.
Housing is the foundation of everything: health, school success, job stability, and dignity. In the South Bronx, too many families are one rent hike away from crisis. As your Assembly Member, I will:Protect and strengthen tenant protections and enforcement
Support rent stabilization where communities need it—and stop rollbacks
Expand resources for legal counsel, code enforcement, and anti-harassment protections
Grow homeownership pathways that working people can actually reach—including limited-equity models and community-driven ownership that keep homes affordable for the long term
Push state investment into permanently affordable housing, not giveaways that accelerate displacement
-
Healthcare should be affordable, local, and fair—no one should avoid care because of cost. I’ll rally against price-gouging and push reforms that put patients before profit.
Bronx families pay more and get less—while healthcare costs rise and the burden gets passed to workers, unions, and small businesses. I will:Support stronger oversight and transparency so hospital and insurance costs can’t hide in the shadows
Back policies that lower out-of-pocket costs and expand access to primary care and mental health services
Protect safety-net care and demand investment in communities that have been historically underserved
Demand a healthcare system that treats care as a right—not a luxury item
-
LGBTQ+ rights are civil rights—period. I’ll protect our families, our healthcare, our schools, and our safety from political attacks.
New York must be a place where LGBTQ+ people can live openly and safely—and where government doesn’t police identity or family. I will:Protect gender-affirming healthcare and defend bodily autonomy in all forms
Strengthen anti-discrimination protections in housing, employment, and public life
Ensure schools are safe, inclusive, and free from bullying and censorship
Support resources for LGBTQ+ youth, seniors, and families—especially in communities facing compounding discrimination
-
A great public education is the most powerful anti-poverty program we have. I’ll fight for fully funded schools, strong supports, and real opportunities for every kid.
Education shouldn’t depend on your ZIP code. Bronx students deserve the same resources and opportunities as anyone in New York. I will:Push for equitable, fully funded public schools
Expand mental health supports, counselors, and after-school programs
Support career and technical pathways, paid internships, and workforce pipelines
Invest in special education services that families can actually access
Treat early childhood education as essential infrastructure, not a privilege
-
Unions built the middle class—and they still protect working people every day. I’ll stand with workers organizing for fair pay, safe jobs, and respect.
Working people deserve power, not just promises. When workers organize, wages rise, safety improves, and communities get stronger. I will:Use my platform to publicly support union drives, contract campaigns, and strikes when workers ask for solidarity
Back stronger enforcement against wage theft and workplace abuses
Support prevailing wage standards and responsible contracting with public dollars
Fight for policies that make it easier to organize—and harder for employers to intimidate and retaliate
-
The government doesn’t belong in your doctor’s office. I’ll defend reproductive freedom and ensure access to safe, affordable care in every community.
Reproductive rights are fundamental rights—full stop. With national threats growing, New York must lead. I will:Protect access to abortion, contraception, and comprehensive reproductive healthcare
Strengthen privacy protections for patients and providers
Expand access to care—especially for low-income communities and those facing barriers to clinics
Support maternal health initiatives that confront racial disparities and improve outcomes for families
