Who is courtland hankins?
Courtland Hankins is a Democratic candidate for the 84th District Assembly Seat in the South Bronx, which covers the Hunt’s Point, Port Morris, Mott Haven and Concourse areas. Courtland currently serves as Community Coordinator for Bronx Community Board Three and has spent the last decade serving the people of the Bronx as an advocate for the homeless, a top performing housing specialist with BronxWorks, and a constituent services and borough operations specialist within the Bronx Borough President’s Office. Prior to that Courtland spent over 20 years as an officer and administrator in NYC financial services institutions, including Chase Bank, Bank of New York, Citibank, and Goldman Sachs.
Courtland Hankins is an avid supporter of the Hip Hop Arts, Culture and Community is a skilled Hip Hop music producer and engineer. He created a Hip Hop education curriculum that teaches STEM through the art form. Courtland’s aka is “The President of Hip Hop” because of his commitment to utilizing the art form as a conduit to community empowerment and political engagement.
